LCE are delighted to announce the opening of our new offices and state of the art training facilities in Unit 10B of the Cleaboy Business Park.
LCE is a specialist safety engineering consultancy providing the full range of safety consultancy and training services to clients in all industrial and commercial sectors.
LCE was established in Waterford in 2005, and, according to Ita Leyden, Managing Director, the initial and ongoing support of local business was paramount in the success of LCE, “From the first day of opening, we were the consultant and trainers of choice for many local industries and businesses.”
According to Ita, ergonomics has become the new “buzz” word in workplace safety – however, Ita explains, ergonomics is just about designing and setting up workplaces to suit how the human body is designed to work. Research shows that 1 in 3 will suffer from some form of musculoskeletal disorder in their lifetime. As an ergonomist, Ita works with individuals and employers to educate and train on workstation set up to reduce the contribution work can make to the risk of suffering from musculoskeletal disorders.
Ita explains “many of us would not drive a short distance without adjusting our car seat to suit, however, most of us will sit for hours per day without giving any thought to adjusting our chairs or our workstations”.
LCE have always provided exceptional, interactive, value added training and now, with the opening of the LCE Training Academy will be making this training available to all. The quality of training is most important to LCE, and therefore, LCE Training Academy courses are provided by LCE or by one of our trusted associates.
The LCE Training Academy has 3 training rooms and/or break out rooms that have been designed with the user in mind – with a specific emphasis on comfortable, adjustable seating in a bright, airy setting.
For lunches and break times refreshments can be provided or arranged locally on request. Training rooms can be configured in boardroom, classroom or U-shaped style, with Training Room 1 accommodating up to 24 people comfortably.
