Overview

This course was developed over 3 years by Ireland’s leading expert in workplace ergonomics – based on over 30 years of practical workplace experience, the course is aimed at professionals who need to develop their understanding of, and competence in, the practical application of ergonomics in the workplace, from risk assessment to accident investigation.

This 3-day course will give delegates the practical tools and knowledge to assess ergonomic risks using the HSA-approved MAC/RAPP and ART tools – reducing absenteeism due to musculoskeletal disorders and increasing productivity by optimising human performance.

This course can be delivered in-person onsite, Instructor led remotely over MS Teams and as a public course.

Practical Workplace Assessment

Attendees are required to conduct a practical workplace based ergonomic assessment during the course.

On completion of the course delegates will:

  • Have an understanding of workplace ergonomics and its impact on operator comfort and performance
  • Be confident in using common ergonomic assessment tools MAC/RAPP/ART
  • Understand how to manage ergonomic related risks and identify suitable control measures and design interventions
