Course Overview

This ergonomics training course equips delegates with the knowledge and practical skills to identify, assess, and manage ergonomic risks across a wide range of workplace tasks.

Participants can select the ergonomic assessment tools that best suit their workplace needs or combine multiple tools for a more comprehensive approach. Each tool provides the knowledge and practical skills to assess ergonomic risks associated with manual handling, pushing and pulling, and repetitive tasks using methods approved and promoted by the Health and Safety Authority (HSA).

  • Demonstrate the appropriate actions to take in the event of a fire, including evacuation procedures and emergency response protocols.
  • Explain the roles and responsibilities of a Fire Warden before, during, and after a fire emergency.
  • Identify the different classes of fire and select the appropriate fire extinguisher for a range of fire scenarios, understanding when it is safe to use portable firefighting equipment.
  • Recognise common fire hazards and implement practical measures to reduce fire risks and maintain a safe working environment.
